Last updated: July 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Compilo collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use the website, dashboard and related services. By using Compilo, you acknowledge the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, password credentials handled through our authentication provider, and profile details you submit.
  • Workspace information: project titles, client records, revision notes, invoice records and other business content you add to the service.
  • Technical data: browser type, device information, IP address, approximate region, log data and security events used to operate and secure the service.
  • Support communications: messages, attachments and administrative correspondence sent to us.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to create and manage accounts, deliver dashboard functionality, maintain project records, provide support, prevent abuse, investigate security incidents, comply with legal obligations and improve the service. We do not sell personal data.

3. Legal bases

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate business interests such as security and service improvement, comply with legal obligations, and where required, based on your consent.

4. Data sharing

We may share information with carefully selected service providers that help us run Compilo, such as hosting, authentication, database, email or payment providers. Those providers may process data only on our instructions and only as needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, court order or to protect rights, safety and security.

5. Data retention

We keep account and workspace data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and meet legal obligations. When data is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, subject to backup retention and legal requirements.

6. Security safeguards

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted connections, authentication protections and row-level access restrictions for workspace records. No system is completely secure, so you should also keep your login credentials confidential and notify us immediately of suspected unauthorized access.

7. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers and require service providers to protect personal information in line with this Policy.

8. Your choices and rights

  • Access, update or correct basic account details from your dashboard where available.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated workspace data, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Object to or request restriction of certain processing where local law gives you that right.
  • Request a copy of your personal information where required by law.

9. Children

Compilo is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Third-party services

Compilo may rely on third-party providers for authentication, infrastructure, email delivery and payments. Their services may be governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when posted, unless a different effective date is stated. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email.
